Hakone(箱根) onsen is located at the foothills of Mount Fuji and has been a popular hot spring destination for centuries. It’s a short train ride from Tokyo but is nestled in the mountain valleys overlooking the beautiful Lake Ashinoko, so it’s perfect for nature lovers too.
