Kinako (きなこ) is a type of roasted soybean flour that has been used for hundreds of years in Japan. It’s made by finely grinding roasted yellow soybeans and has a nutty yet slightly sweet taste. You’ve got to visit the Syugetsu snack shop located in the historic Gion district of Kyoto next time you go to Japan. Their snacks are super delicious.
