Fugetsudo has been making delicate butter cookies since 1919. They use only the highest quality local ingredients from farmers in Kagoshima: the eggs are picked by hand, the wheat is grown in the volcanic soil, the butter is cultured in a nearby creamery, and the cookies are baked in the shop’s decades-old oven. This cookie won the 2008 Japan Confectionary Competition!
