Each order comes with a box of 10 manju.
Yamada-ya has been making traditional Japanese snacks in Hiroshima since 1932. They were the first snack makers to make the nationally famous Momiji-Manju (maple-leaf shaped snack). In 1954, the shop owner created this mild red bean-filled manju (stamped with his family crest) for his local university’s tea ceremony club. Try warming it in a toaster oven for 2 mins and enjoy it with a cup of tea!
We included these in the May’17 “Historical Hiroshima” Snakku box.
